He was predeceased by : his father Arthur Dockter; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth, Beulah Long and Donald Long. He is survived by : his mother Elizabeth Dockter (Rath); his wife Mary Ellen; his son John (Darla); his grandchildren, Mitchell, Michaela and Emma; his son Ken (Rhonda) of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Kaija, Ethan and Grand Forks; his daughter Melanie Nordhougen (Scott); his grandchildren, Autumn, Tatum and Morgan; his siblings, Betty Heidrick (Art), Shirley Gartner (Bob), Rodney Dockter (Claudia) and Beverly Hart (Nathan); and his sisters-in-law, Eileene Swardstrom (David), Patti Long and Alice Westby (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bethel Church, Fargo National Cemetery, or the charity of your choice.
