He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell "Rusty" Howes and Alma Howes; and his siblings, Duane and Lou Sampson. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hanson; his daughters, Sheila and Jennifer; his grandsons, Bennett of West Fargo and Trevin of West Fargo; and his siblings, Dennis of Arnegard, ND and Marlene of Detroit Lakes, MN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
