With heavy hearts, we announce the death of May Adelle Smith (Moorhead, Minnesota), born in Elgin, North Dakota, who passed away on January 7, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Swift and Dorothy Swift (Evanson); her husband Jack Smith; and her brothers-in-law, Bob Flynn and Michael Halpern.

She is survived by: her children, Laurie Laney (Richard Smith), Jill Berg (Jeffrey) and Garner Smith; her siblings, Virgil "Pat" Swift (Margaret) of Glen Ullin, ND, Ethel Flynn of Tacoma, WA and Avis Halpern; her grandchildren, Sheena Burt (Adam) of Hastings, MN, Sasha Ham (Matthew) and Fargo; and her great grandchildren, Kyle Burt, Ryan Burt and Mason Ham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
