She was predeceased by : her parents, Almer Gedstad and Inez Gedstad (Magnus); her husband Bing Rood; her brother Spencer Gedestad (Patty); and her grandmother Nellie Magnus (Haatvedt).

She is survived by : her nephews, Stephen (Kris), Douglas (Kathy) and Dennis; and her niece Susan Gedestad. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Concordia College, Luther College, Sons of Norway, Eventide Foundation, or your favorite charity.
