He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Schwarz and Hilda Schwarz Sr. (Ude); his son Troy; his former wife Helen Hausauer of Regan, ND; his siblings, Albert, Alvin, Herbert and Lydia; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Hochhalter and Raymond Maas.
He is survived by: his son Joshua (Taryn) of Fargo; his wife Lois Pfeiffer of New Rockford, ND; his daughter Wanda Boomgaarden of Wahpeton; his grandchildren, Sara Boomgaarden of Las Vegas, NV, Ryan Boomgaarden, Lexie, Jackson and Bennett Schwarz; his daughter-in-law Tammy Schwarz (Reynolds); his siblings, Elmer Washburn (Arlene), Leo (Joann), Martin (Susan) and Frieda Maas (Hazen); and his siblings-in-law, LaRue Schwarz, Hazen, Evie Schwarz, Sharon Schwarz, Garrison, Clarence, Esther Hausauer, Vivian Pfeiffer, Richard, Donald, James Hausauer, John, William Pfeiffer and Kenneth Lange. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
