He is survived by: his siblings, Lloyd Carda (Helen) and Shirley Nusz (Rosalie); his sons, Steven Carda (Tabetha) and Tim Carda (Candace); his stepchildren, Curt Schmidt (Cathy), Todd Schmidt (Susie) and Sonja Schmidt (Kurt Notch); his grandchildren, Meghan Hueper (Ben), Emily Walker (Mitchell), Cole Carda, Jacob Carda (Isabel Vogel), Nicholas Carda (Emma White) and Caila Carda (Thad Pease); his stepgrandchildren, Susan Nystrom, Renae Swanson (Adam), Christopher Schmidt (Dani), Heidi Rosenow (Tony Spoden), Jennessy Dickerson (Chucky) and Cassandra Schmidt; and his great grandchild Julia Walker. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
