He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bliss and Glendor Bliss (Pearson). He is survived by: his wife Eileen Bliss of Morris; his children, Jennifer Schuler (Scott) of Clarkfield, Matthew Bliss (Victoria) of Porter and Michael Bliss (Rachel) of Rochester; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Abby, Bailey, Stella, Lucas, Eleanor and Walter; his siblings, Bonnie Frederickson (Karl) of Heron Lake, Lowell Bliss (Gayle) of Montevideo, Roger Bliss (Deb) of Canby and Ellen Thompson (Tom) of Springfield, OH; and his uncle Charles Pearson of Canby. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Hancock or the American Heart Association.
