He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Freese and Mary Catherine Freese (Mitchell); and his siblings, Rita Catherine Simones (Freese) and Fredrick Michael Freese. He is survived by : his wife Jan of Morris; his children, John Freese of Pepin, WI, Julie Johnson (Howard) of Willmar, David Freese of Morris and Diana Fischer (Randy) of Tomah, WI; and his sister Mary Agnes Schmitt (Freese) of Waite Park, MN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Morris Lions Club.
