She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Zahl and Vera Zahl (Burbank); her son John Zahl; her daughter-in-law Joanne Thomas; and her siblings, Gayle Smith, Lorraine Koehler, Carol Burbank, Bonnie Hammond, Susan Hulzebos and Frank Zahl.
She is survived by: her husband James Henricks of Paul's Lutheran Church; her grandchildren, Jennifer Zahl Bruland (Mike Bruland), Sarah Zahl, Andrew Zahl (Breha Holcomb) and Daniel Zahl (Lisa); and her sister Sally Valentin of Richmond, MN.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pedersen Funeral Home (101 S Atlantic Ave, Morris, MN 56267). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (301 W 5th St, Morris, MN 56267).
She was a huge blood donor and advocate for donation, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Stevens County Medical Center Auxiliary, the Fair Board, was on the St. Paul's Lutheran Women's Guild and sang in the choir.
