He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Messner and Alice Messner (Halvorson); and his sister Jeanette Koehntop (Messner). He is survived by: his wife June Messner (Aaberg); his children, Allen Messner (Lisa) of Fargo, Laurie Notsch (Ricky) of Chokio, Minnesota and Robert Messner (Shelley) of Hancock, Minnesota.; and his grandchildren, Jenelle Klein, Sarah Amundson, Matthew Notsch, Amy Messner, Lisa Notsch, Philip Messner, Andrew Messner, Katelyn Messner, Kayla Klein and Cole Klein. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
