She was predeceased by: her parents, Frans Akre and Jette Akre (Jenson); her husband Leslie "Les" Nelson; her grandson Mitchell Staab; her brother-in-law Harold Searle; and her nephew-in-law Curtis Shelstad.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Staab (Wayne) of Faribault, Harlan Nelson (Vickie) of New Brighton, Beverly Nelson of Littleton, CO and Dwayne Nelson (Darla) of Morris; her sister Agnes Searle of Morris; her grandchildren, Erica Staab-Absher (Matt) of Faribault, Douglas Nelson (Sarah) of Elbow Lake, Amanda Nelson of New Brighton, Daniel Nelson (Michelle) of Donnelly, Amy Vetter (Jon) of Westside, IA, Inga Carland (Nick) of Colorado Springs, CO and Diana Zych (Karson) of Chokio; her great grandchildren, Arctic Staab, Kalea, Marina Absher, Coleman, Clara Carland, Jack, Autumn Nelson, Braxton, Braedyn, Briggs, Brecklynn Nelson, Lennon and Hattie Zych; her grandsons, Quincy Barber and Jobe Fritz; her nieces, Angela Shelstad of Madison and Elaine Olson (Rodger) of Prior Lake; and her nephew Lowell Searle (Jan) of Morris.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (108 W 8th St, Morris, MN 56267). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
