Richard Sampson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Sampson of Motley, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Sampson and Christine Sampson; his wife Pearl H. C. Hoeck; his son Timothy Richard Sampson; and his siblings, June McElroy, Rose Anderson, Alta Evanson and Gordon Sampson (Yvonne) of Motley.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Lee Johnson (James) of Motley, Steven Peter Sampson (Jeff Raposa) of Denver, CO and Jill Marie Moen (David) of Ottertail, MN; his sister Ila Moga (Al) of Independence, WI; and his brother-in-law Evanson of Shoreview, MN. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Motley Free Methodist Church (33 Wellwood St, Motley, MN 56466). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
