It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Eugene Nelson (Mound, Minnesota), born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Nelson (Hanson) and LeRoy Nelson; and his stepfather Elmer Christiansen. He is survived by: his wife Andrea Nelson (Cowles); his daughter Wendy Mead (Jon); his grandchildren, Kristina Britz (Matt), Adam Mead (Whitney), Dylan Mead and Jenna Mead (Danny Sachi); his son Richard Nelson (Leanne); his grandchildren, Hannah, Erik and Mitchell Nelson; his son Nils Nelson (Anneke); his grandchildren, Aubrey, Magnus and Cammack "Mack" Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Ellis, Lennox Mead and Mara Jo Sachi.
