Sylvia J. Riter Obituary

We announce the death of Sylvia J. Riter in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Stahl and Sarah Stahl (Hofer); her husband Delbert Edward Riter; her son Kendell; and her sisters, Vesta, Mabel and Darlene.

She is survived by: her sons, Douglas and Robyn (Karen); her great grandchildren, Drew, Cassie, Devon, Margerie (Elliott), Dana, Brett Jorgensen (Milo), Scott, Michelle (Bradley), Becca and Ryan Tillma (Paityn); and her siblings-in-law, Janet Jacobsen and Wimpy Buller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lake Norden Community Center.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden, SD.
