We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2026, at the age of 92, Dorothy Helen Hanson of Nevis, Minnesota, born in Columbia Falls, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Grant and Ida Grant (Grey); her husband John Allen Hanson; her parents-in-law, Wilbert and Margaret Hanson (Davis); and her brothers, Clayton, Marcellus, Guy, Wilbur Jr. and Carroll.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Bowles (Gary) and Pamela Hanson (Melvin Cooper); her grandchildren, Stephanie Houchin (Dan), John Hanson, Kali Guilmette (Chris), Nicole Hanson, Marah Kane (Hanson), Dustin Hanson, Niko Tagle (Jessica), Cole Hanson (Samantha), Corey Bowles (Erica), Kayleigh Bowles and Lathan Hoffman; her great grandchildren, Hannah Houchin, Christina Sielaff-Hanson, William Houchin, Joseph Houchin, Caitlyn Hanson, Bethanie Guilmette, Lily Guilmette, Chelsea Wolfe, Johnathan Hanson-Turner, Darren Koons, Noah Tagle, Emma Everretts-Tagle, Jaiden Arnold, Alivia Arnold, Claire Hanson, Elias Tagle, Silvana Bowles and Theo Tagle; her great great grandchildren, Daniel and Marcella Haegeman; her siblings, Barbara Noorda (Kenny), Arthur Grant (Diane), Lawrence Grant (Joyce) and Marilyn Hannington (Charles); her daughter Bonita Anderson (Hanson); her grandson Carl Sather; her son-in-law Gary Bowles; and her granddaughter Ciara Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Nevis Senior Center.
