Dan Knuth Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Knuth of New Brighton, Minnesota, who passed away on October 5, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Knuth and Lois Knuth; his aunts, Stella, Mildred and Irene (James); and his nephew Mark.

He is survived by : his wife Joann; his children, John (Taylor) and Kate (Sam); his grandchildren, Mateo and Maud; his parents-in-law, Gordon and Linda Backlund; and his niece Melanie Klaumann (Clyde).

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northern Star Council, BSA or Climate Generation: a Will Steger Legacy are much appreciated.

“Dan was a terrific legislator and leader who cared deeply for our state and our citizens. He was funny, articulate, thoughtful and compassionate.
