He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thiher and Dolores Thiher of Cedar Rapids; and his son Jacob. He is survived by: his wife Terri; his children, Richard, Thomas, Nathan and Hannah; his daughters-in-law, Caitlyn, Joelle and Sarah; his granddaughter Tyra; and his siblings, James, Donna, Steven, Barb, Bruce and Rodrigo.

“Hi Terri, I have been out of the loop having left Pru in 2019. I just learned of Mark’s passing. I am so sad to hear this. The business we were in was very rewarding but nothing could match the relationships that were made. I considered you and Mark friends. I learned so much from him. Coming to your office and talking with Mark over lunch was always enjoyable and fun. May the lord bless your family. Jeff Lewis”

“We were very sorry to hear about Mark's passing. We just recently heard of it and were shocked and very saddened by the news. I first met Mark through a mutual friend and became friends with Mark and worked with Mark through Prudential. Mark was always very kind and truly cared about people and how they were doing in their lives. Mark would go out of his way to help others, as I remember him doing for my parents.
