He was predeceased by: his parents, Gheorge Pachenko and Profira Pachenko; and his sisters, Vera and Maria. He is survived by: his wife Zinoviya Pachenko; his children, Vera Daskalyuk (Simeon), Nina Ogui (Vladimir), Aliona Luchyak (Andrey), Ion Pacencu (Lidia), Mariana Ureke (Viorel) and Lidiya Lastur (Marin); and his grandchildren, Slava (Nelly), Aleks (Dorina), Igor, Alena, Denis, Nathan, Gabriella, Naomi, Elise and Jason. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
