He is survived by : his mother Eleanor Hanson; his siblings, Carol Hanson, Scott Hanson and Mark Hanson (Carol); his nieces, Kate Schumacher and Kristin Zelazny (Matt); his nephew Zachary Wefel (Kimberly Hughes); and his great-nephews, Jack Schumacher and Rowan Zelazny.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (835 2nd Ave NW, New Brighton, MN 55112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
