He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Rieland and Margaret Rieland (Kampsen); his wife Lois "Giggles" Rieland; his granddaughter Tara Pohlmann; and his siblings, Claude (Viola Marie), Irma, Wilfred, Lorraine, Walter, Irene, Dorine and Marie.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Pohlmann of Freeport, Jerry Rieland (Louise) of Freeport, Theresa Shay (Ralph) of Albany, Jeff Rieland (Doris) of Melrose, Julie McCalmant (Mark) of Albany, Lucy Bauer (Mike) of Melrose, Greg Rieland of Litchfield and Paul Rieland (Amanda) of Burtrum; and his sister Lucille Trull (Bruce) of Colorado. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
