He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene C. Wann and Lois Wann (Suel). He is survived by : his former life partner Barbara Wann (Franz); his wife Janis Wann (Bethke); his children, David Wann (Pamela) of Chanhassen, Lori Meloche (Steve) of Bloomington, Jeremy Bethke (Michelle) of Baraboo, WI and Jesse Bethke (Lisa) of Cannon Falls; his grandchildren, Eric, Taylor Wann, Alan Brown, Jameson Bethke, Kaitlin Wahlin (Reijo), Nikole Hetrick (Donald) and James Webster (Brittany Dahlen); his great grandchildren, Peter, Lincoln, Charlie, Dakota and Hank; his brother Arthur S. Wann (Ann); and his sisters-in-law, Jacquelyn Bartz (James), Joyce Hinkel (Neal) and Joni Zehnder (Jon).

Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association, the Minnesota Newspaper Foundation or St. Wenceslaus School.
