He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hauer and Eleanore Hauer (Studnicka); and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Rosie; his children, Daniel Hauer (Theresa), Catherine Weiers (Ken), Dawn Buszmann (Keith) and Russ Hauer; his sister Sharon Roberts; his grandchildren, Tina Williams (Derek), Dana Coffelt (Matt), Kevin Weiers (Alicia), John Weiers (Amber), Jenna Busker (Alex), Jessica Minnich (Cole), Jeremy Buszmann (Hailie), Tyler, Andrew and Niya Hauer; his great grandchildren, Alana, Kensley Weiers and Crew Minnic; and his sister-in-law Judy Hauer.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bruzek Funeral Home (610 Main St E, New Prague, MN 56071). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Scholastica Catholic Church.
