We bid farewell to Pat Gansen of New Prague, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 29, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Jirik and Rose B. Jirik (Svoboda); her son Carl; and her siblings, John Jirik and Lorraine Nickolay.
She is survived by: her husband Arnold of New Prague; her children, Denise Edstrom (Bob) of Bloomington, Steven Gansen (Jody Herrmann) of Belle Plaine, Thomas Gansen and Stefanie Moradiellos of Tampa, FL; her daughter-in-law Georgine Gansen of Belle Plaine; her grandchildren, Tony Gansen (Kristyn), Matthew Gansen (Colleen), Carl Gansen, Ann Gansen, Jason Edstrom (Sarah), Tyler Edstrom (Calah), Danica Shinehouse Gansen, Avery Shinehouse Gansen, Reese Shinehouse Gansen, Stephanie Gansen (Jordan Miller) and Nick Gansen (Cayman Scarella); and her great grandchildren, Connor, Mackenzie, Sophia, Eleanor, Cole, Jo and Gabby.
A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 7:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bruzek Funeral Home (610 Main St E, New Prague, MN 56071). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (20087 Hub Dr, New Prague, MN 56071).
In addition, Pat was engaged with her community, active in her church, serving as election judge for many years, participation in the county extension service and local charity drives.
