She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey Hale; her grandson Adam Burger; her son-in-law Daniel Nachreiner; and her parents, Paul Messerschmidt and Anna Marie Messerschmidt (Stage).
She is survived by: her children, Diana Burt (Steve) of New Ulm, Linda Nachreiner (John Moritz) of Springfield, Thomas Hale (LeAnn) of Sleepy Eye, Sandra Burger (David) of Lafayette, Timothy Hale of North Mankato and Bradley Hale (Joyce Johnson) of New Ulm; and her sister-in-law Nancy Diederich of Colorado. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (201 N State St, New Ulm, MN 56073).
Flowers are preferred from Springfield Floral and memorials are preferred to the Oak Hills Living Center.
