It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diane Murphy of New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Diane Murphy to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Richard Murphy of Mary's Catholic Church; her sisters, Marlene Rewitzer, Mary Hogen, Connie Heck and Roxanne Schwecke; and her parents, Martin Clyne and Ruth Clyne (Guendner).

She is survived by : her son Brian Murphy (Allie) of New Ulm; her grandsons, Nathan Murphy and Logan Murphy; her stepgrandsons, Michael Schmidt and Jacob Schmidt (Emily); her siblings, Linda Clyne of New Ulm, Monica Gieseke (Danny) of New Ulm, Julie Schugel (Pat) of New Ulm and Sam Clyne (Jo) of New Ulm; her brothers-in-law, Leroy Rewitzer of New Ulm and James Heck of New Ulm; and her nephew Daniel J. Clyne. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home (218 N Broadway St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A Mass was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (605 N State St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
