He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Burris and Agnes Burris (Williams); his wife JoAnn Burris; his son-in-law James Carrier; his sister Janice Harner; his brothers-in-law, Dick Harner and Dee Mundy; and his in-laws, Glen and Edna Theis.
He is survived by: his children, Katharine Carrier of Elk River, Susan Roiger (Patrick) of New Ulm, Cynthia Rueckert (Robert) of New Ulm, Michael Burris (Barbara Lee) of Morristown and Daniel Burris (Barbi) of Ball Ground, GA; and his sister Mary Ann Mundy of Lincoln, CA. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
