He is survived by: his wife Kari Burns of Hutchinson; his daughters, Amy Burns of Arizona and Angela Vostrejs of Colorado; his stepdaughter Jordan Villapudua; his stepgrandchildren, Bentley of Hutchinson, Briella of Hutchinson and Bryleigh of Hutchinson; and his brothers, Robert Burns (Sharon) of Adams Center and Richie Burns (Kathy) of Copenhagen. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
