She was predeceased by: her parents, William Weseman and Rose Weseman (Bettin); her husband Carver Emmet Leighty; and her siblings, Lawrence McDeid (Grace), Charles McDeid (Pauline), Darrell Weseman of Sherburn, Kathryn Smith (Richard), Lois Kleine, Delores Johnson and Mildred Sickler.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Sethre of Byron, Teresa Gehrls (Arnold) of East Bethel and Duane Leighty (Jean) of New Ulm; and her grandchildren, Jason Sethre, Heidi Sethre Wiplinger, Heather Gehrls-Ostman, Brandon Gehrls, Colbey Leighty, Caleb Leighty and Coresa Leighty Cass. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lakefield United Methodist Church (520 Cherry St, Lakefield, MN 56150). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
