He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Schmucker and Elsie Schmucker; his stepfather James Schroeck; his father-in-law Elmer Pieper; his grandparents, Rudy, Lucy Schmucker, Andrew and Angeline Zager; and his pets, Cindy, Bowser, Casper, Rascal, Julius, Scaredy and Alley.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Schmucker; his children, Jill Meschke (Jason) and AJ Schmucker (Anna); his grandchildren, Emma Sackett, Jack and Lincoln Schmucker; his brothers, Dr. Alan Schmucker (Barbara) and Brian Schmucker (Catherine); his mother-in-law Ethel Pieper; and his siblings-in-law, Laurie Steckman (Jon), Emily Sandey (Chad), Greg Pieper (Linda), Bernie Pieper (Tammy) and Mark Pieper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
