John Gaertner Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate John Gaertner of New Ulm, Minnesota, whose life came to an end on November 14, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Gaertner and Luella Gaertner; his wife Joan Harting; his sister Nancy Jahn; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Holzhueter and Judy Jones.

He is survived by: his children, Joel Gaertner (LuAnn), Jeff Gaertner (Lisa), Jill Roux (Jonathan) and Julie Weishalla (Brett); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Tolonen (Tyler), Philip Gaertner (Beth), Ethan Gaertner, Jake Gaertner, Kaitlyn Roux, Micah Roux (Hannah), Emma Weishalla, Katherine Weishalla and Sophia Weishalla; his great grandchildren, Natalie Tolonen, Ruby Tolonen, Edward Tolonen and Adaline Gaertner; his sister Suzanne Holzhueter; and his brother-in-law Hugh Jahn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
