He is survived by: his wife Shirleen Beranek of New Ulm; his children, Glenn Beranek (Darcy), Sue Brandes (Jeff), Bonnie Fortwengler (Aaron) and Vicky Hoffmann (Derek); his son-in-law Craig Portner; his grandchildren, Eric Beranek (Staci), Brandon Beranek (Jessie), Allison Beranek, Abigail Beranek, Austin Brandes (Ashley Streich), Kayla Verdoljak (Anthony), Kaden, Bryn Fortwengler, Madalyn, Jacob Hoffmann, Robyn Weikle (Kurt), Ryan Portner (Tori), Adam Portner (Kayla) and Alex Portner (Alexa Hazelton); his siblings, Annette Altmann, Robert F. Beranek and Hilary Bianchi; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane Beranek and Dick Lieb. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
