He was predeceased by: his nieces, Tammy and Amy; his nephew Chad; his great grandchild Esther Jensen; his sister-in-law Debbie Smith; and his parents, Harold Smith and Elsie Smith (Chute).
He is survived by: his children, Michael Smith (April), Christopher Smith (Shannon) and Julie Jensen (Jamie); and his siblings, Sharon Smith, Leanne Wentz (Pat), Leon Smith, Jerry Smith (Judy), Dean Smith and Lynn Smith (Patricia). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and many friends who considered him a dad.
