He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Erna (Huelskamp); his wife Inez Diemert; his sister Mary; his brother-in-law Arden Olson; his sister Darlene Kuester (New Ulm); and his brothers-in-law, Julian and Rev James.
He is survived by: his friends, Denny Manderfeld, Dale Bushard and Eldon Traulich; his children, Patricia Sparlin (Scott), Gregory Wendinger (Beth) of New Ulm and David Wendinger (Diane Barnes) of Pequot Lakes, MN.; his grandchildren, Mathew Sparlin of New Ulm, Christine Das (Indranil) of Lakeville, MN, Thomas Wendinger of St Louis Park, MN, Timothy Wendinger (Ella) of Apple Valley, MN and Andew Wendinger of Tacoma, WA; his great grandchildren, Deven, Clara and Dylan Das of Lakeville, MN; his brother Gary Wendinger of New Ulm; his siblings-in-law, Michael Kuester of New Ulm and Mary Olsen of Ontario, WI.; and his stepchildren, James, Jenna Silva of Lafayette, Theresa Van Diest, George Krieder and Edwin Silva. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (417 S Minnesota St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
