It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard E. He was predeceased by: his parents, Algot Sr. Blomquist and Evelyn Blomquist (Ouren); and his siblings, Arline Schmiesing (Virgil), Muriel Frederickson (Lee), Rose Marie Hanson (Hilmer), Becky Johnson (Allen), Algot Jr. Blomquist (Bonita), Dennis Blomquist and Keith "Skeeter" Blomquist.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Blomquist of New Ulm; his children, Kent Blomquist (Gail) of New Ulm and Yvette Mosenden (Paul) of Hanska; his grandchildren, Brady Mosenden (Pia), Briana Blomquist and Shannon Mosenden (Peter); his great grandchildren, Nadia and Anja; his brother Warren Blomquist (Yvonne); and his sister-in-law Alice Blomquist.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – South Chapel (600 S Broadway St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice.
