He was predeceased by: his father Otto Apitz Jr.; and his son Chad Apitz. He is survived by: his mother Lois Apitz (Gieseke) of New Ulm; his sons, Tim Apitz (Amanda) of Necedah, WI and Brad Apitz (Bridget) of Kasson; his grandchildren, Lydia and Judson Apitz; his sisters, Connie Scharf (Richmond) of New Ulm, Patti Lokken (Paul) of North Mankato and Shari Apitz (Ron Miller) of New Ulm; and his friends, Maureen Bohnen of New Ulm and Nick Dumdei (Katie) of Mapleton. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
