He was predeceased by: his wife Mary DeGrood; his siblings, Sylvia Moran, Elaine Levahn, Ted Loftness, Pat Maxwell and Mike Maxwell; and his parents, Rueben Loftness and Daisy Loftness (Case).
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Loftness-Brown of Burnsville, Laura Kahler Loftness (Doug) of Minneapolis and Frani Knowles (Terry) of New Ulm; his grandchildren, Tiffany Brown, Jake Brown, Caty Brown, Gabe Knowles (Leah), Anna Knowles, Christopher Knowles, Samuel Knowles (Lily), Seoki Kahler, Jae Hoon Kahler and Yong Lee Kahler; and his sister Bridgett Salzmann. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
