He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Cooley and Shirley Cooley (Johnson); and his siblings, Lawrence, Delphine, Loraine, Irene, Geraldine, Evelyn, Leslie, Edgar, Carolyn, Linda and Alice "Toots".

He is survived by : his wife Karin Cooley of New York Mills; his children, Rachelle Sikorski (Wayne) of Fairmont, Calvin Cooley (Terri) of Fergus Falls, Jason Cooley (Joy) of New York Mills and Brent Cooley (Christene) of New York Mills; and his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Bjelland (Don) of Henning and Sharon Wallace (Gordy) of New York Mills. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (119 S Boardman Ave, New York Mills, MN 56567).
