We announce the death of Joseph John Lotti of Newport, Minnesota, who passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 86. Joseph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Quinto Lotti and Elizabeth "Betty" Lotti; his stepmother Elmina Lotti; his sister Ellen Bouvier; his niece Dianne Ellis; his parents-in-law, Clyde Keech and Mabel Reinitz; his brothers-in-law, Mike Gits, Jim Goblirsch, Jeff Jackelen, Richard Keech, Paul Moberg and Jonathan Roth; his niece Trudy Grapentine Green; and his nephew Greg Grapentine.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Lotti (Mel); his children, Quinto Lotti (Rita), Michael Lotti (Tricia), Christina Lotti, Little Chief Lotti and Noah Lotti (Tarenee Irish); his grandchildren, Heather Groothius (Chris), Sarah Herr (Brian McDonough), Ericka Shepersky (Jim Peerboom), Rebekah Cedar (Keegan Freiburger), Levi Lotti, Dan Coulliard, Fiona Lotti, Jonathan Lotti, Marcus Lotti (Saige), Maria Lotti (Jaden Anderson) and Niko Lotti; his foster children, Chad, Shane, Angela, Tyler, Tony, Charles and Scott; his grandchildren, Adam Herr, Elijah McDonough, A. J. Peerboom, Aleks and Rayne Shepersky; his in-laws, Bonnie "Bon Bon" Keech, Patricia Keech Moberg, Beverly "Sweetie" Carey, Cindy Jackelen, Nancy Graumann (Steven), Sue "Suzy Q" Clegg (Steve), Shirley "Shirley Girl" Roth, Julie Wychor (Bill) and Bill Keech (Kathy); his godsons, Michael Maguire and Eric Kelsey; his aunt Lu Grack; his caregiver Daisy Lynn Dream; his friends, Curt, Pat Kaehler and Fred St. Laurent (Joan); and his caregivers, Brenda Hohneke, Mavis, Tarenee Irish and Tollie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews.
