He is survived by: his wife Sonja; his children, Jenny (Dan Ahlers), Chris (Michelle Shay), Becky (Paul Thigpen) and Tim (Christine Shay); his grandchildren, Nick, Jasmin Ahlers, Ashley Polich, Bailey, Brandon Hale, Whitney Ahlers, Taylor, Kayla Shay, Logan Shay (Madison Nolz), Nolan Thigpen, Taya Thigpen, Landon Shay, Titus Shay, Ephraim Shay and Josslyn; his great grandchildren, Aowyn, Theodyn, Piper, Thomas, Holton and Harrison; his sister Janet Herz (Pat); and his brother-in-law Fred Froehlich (Dianne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (604 Main St, Nicollet, MN 56074). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
