With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michas Monroe Ohnstad of North Branch, Minnesota, who passed away on April 22, 2026 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michas Ohnstad and Eva Ohnstad (Broberg); his wife Alma Ohnstad of Cleveland, TX; his siblings, Ronald Ohnstad (Doris), Ruby Entner (Louis) and Ohny Ohnstad; his nephew Kenny Ohnstad; and his niece Susan Ohnstad.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Betty Reiter of Hinckley, David Ohnstad of Sparta, WI, Marilyn Peterson (Bruce) of Duluth, Bruce Ohnstad of Minneapolis, Ed Entner (Dede) of Roseville, Leann Cozad of Maple Grove and Karen Entner of Golden Valley. He is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (980 W 4th St, Rush City, MN 55069). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Lutheran Memorial Cemetery of Hinckley.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
