He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nagell and Florance Nagell; his adoptive father Roy (Dorothea Wenell); his wife Donna; his children, Russell Wenell Jr., Douglas Wenell (Penny Willem), Tim Wenell (Mary Hughes) and Scott Wenell; and his grandchildren, Tabitha Henderson (John), Lisa Delougherty (Brian), Randi Jacob (Ramesh), Briana Huset (Jon), Bryan Wenell, Donna Jo Rocco (Vincent), Sarah Nordstrom (Alex) and Anna Wenell.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grandstrand Funeral Home & Cremation Service - North Branch (6580 Main St, North Branch, MN 55056).
