He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gunderson and Laura Gunderson (Rolstad); his wife Rosalyn Cook; and his siblings, Hazel, Esther, Dorothy, Deloris and Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Craig (Lynn) of Hastings, Dave of North Branch and Sharon Johnson (Tom) of Almena, WI; and his brother Robert "Bobby". He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
