He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Scheurer and Anastasia Leonard Scheurer; his former wife Sharon Scheurer; his siblings, Thomas, Mark, Paul Scheurer, Monica Scheurer and Jane Scheurer-Trondson; his children, David (Rachel), Kevin Scheurer and Martha Scheurer; and his niece Tamra Rovney.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia McCarty-Scheurer; his children, Kristin Scheurer (Scott Barley) and Duane Scheurer (Marge); his stepchildren, Erin McCarty, Jason McCarty (Sarah) and Jamie McCarty; his sisters, Sister Kathy, Sister Mary and Carolyn Rovney (James); and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn and Bev. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
