It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Evers of North Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Evers and Violet Evers (Johnson); his wife Lila Mae of Paul's Lutheran Church; his parents-in-law, Emil and Clara; his brother George Evers (Beverly); and his nephews, Dale Kettner and Terry Kettner.
He is survived by: his children, Layne Evers (Sara) of St. Peter, Jeff Evers (Tina) of Fremont and Julie Evers of Owatonna; his grandchildren, Brandon Evers (Jodi), Michael Evers (Destiny Pittman), Christian Evers (Abby), Ashley Rysavy (Merritt), Kylee Caldwell (Brian), Paige Higginbotham (Kenneth), Bailey Williams (Kevin) and Samantha Jo Fredin (Jackson Roll); his great grandchildren, Colten, Ella, Mason, Ethan, Kinley, Mercer, Connor, Aria, Miles, Bennett, Caleb, Jaden, Riley, Halie, Levi, Olivia, Ellie Mae and Tabor; his sister Betty Kuehl (Dwight); and his sibling's children, Eric Kuehl (Erin), Matthew Kuehl (Sherif Desouky), Vanessa Kettner, Lori Kettner and Emily Norland (Dan).
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sturm Funeral Home - St. James (906 10th Ave S, St James, MN 56081).
The family prefers memorials be given to Peace Lutheran Church in North Mankato or Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School in New Ulm.
