She was predeceased by : her parents, John O. Brekke and Hilda Dorthea Brekke (Madson); her husband Gordon Cornish; and her siblings, Marion Jorgenson (Einar), Marlyss Brekke, Helen Smith (Lloyd) and John Brekke.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Cornish, Stephen Cornish (Elaine), Barbara Fleming (Marvin), Sarah Magnuson (Greg) and Ronald Cornish (Debbie); and her sister-in-law Arlene Brekke. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church-Madelia (406 W Main St, Madelia, MN 56062). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
