He was predeceased by: his parents, Tebbo Prins and Jeanette Prins (Finger); his grandson Adam Gilman; and his siblings, Clyde Prins (Bonnie), LaDonna Eucken (Myron), Robert Prins (Marge), Marvin Prins (Mary Lou), Bernice Ryker, Beatrice Vining (David), Arlene Meyer (Arlen) and Janet Prins.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth M. Luckhardt; his children, Cynthia Prins of Hamilton, Gary Prins (Debbie) of St. Peter, Susan Hendrickson (Mel) of North Mankato, Sharon Prins (Kenny Felmlee) of Le Sueur and Lynn Schimmel (Richard) of Farmington; his grandchildren, Grace Lin (Wesley), Ethan Prins (Kellie), Rose Prins, Hunter Prins, Nathan Chapman (Darcy), Charlie, Andrea, Alex, Jacquelyn Gilman, Kelly Foslien (Chad), John Schimmel and Eric Schimmel; his great grandchildren, Felix Lin, Madison Chapman, Jasper Leiferman, Jocelynn Chapman, Amelia Chapman, Kendall Schoch, Robert Johnson, AJ Gilman, Connor Foslien, Ty Foslien and Lily Foslien; his brothers, Kenneth Prins (Shirley) of Jeffers and Richard Prins of Roseville; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Ryker of Jeffers and Vernon Luckhardt of Bloomington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
