She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis DeFrees and Agnes DeFrees (Caron); and her husband George Hackett. She is survived by: her children, Michael Hackett (Annie) of Faribault, Patricia Batdorf (Niles) of Duluth, Minnesota, Christine LeVake (Rod) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ann Yungner (Michael) of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Mary Peterson (Allen) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Elizabeth Wickmann (Jeffrey) of Crossville, Tennessee. She is also survived by grandchildren and their spouses, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to the ALS Association of Minnesota/North Dakota/South Dakota Chapter, Northfield Women's Center, or the Seminary Education Fund through the Diocese of Winona.
