He is survived by: his wife Janet Topp (Estrem); his children, Jane Valek (Curt), Jeff (Aimee) and Jill Metz (Justin); his grandchildren, Will (Hannah), Avery Valek (Gunnar), Carson, Ella Topp, Harrison, Elsie Metz and Graham Greeder; his siblings, Vydetta Newberg and Jerry Topp (Kathy); and his sister-in-law Beldora Quinnell.
