We announce the death of Loren Conrad Baumbach of Northfield, Minnesota, born in Saint Charles, Minnesota, who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 85. Loren will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Loren will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Loren will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Loren’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Geraldine Baumbach; his children, Kay Moon (Jeff) and David Baumbach (Janet); his grandsons, Zac Moon (Drea), Tyler Moon (Amy), Morgan Baumbach and Jack Baumbach (Halley); and his great grandchildren, Robby Moon and Lauren Moon.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch in North Dakota, an organization that Loren and Mary visited many times and enjoyed supporting, as well as Bethel Lutheran's Good Samaritan Fund.
