He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Valek and Marcella Valek (Malecha); his wife Sandy; his son Scott; and his siblings, John, Ernest, Francis, Elsie Sirek, Irene Horejsi (Leonard) and Mamie Tuma.
He is survived by: his children, Corinne Duncan of Northfield, Rick Valek of Nerstrand and Steve Anderson; his brother Lawrence (Delores) of Northfield; and his sisters-in-law, Dolores Valek and Delores Valek. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Historic Trondhjem Church (8501 Garfield Ave, Lonsdale, MN 55046).
